A long term project is the restoration of the historic Muir-Poulsen house and orchard. Built in 1897, this house was originally a milling site for the granite mine- many of the bricks from the Salt Lake Temple and bases of many statues came from this very site. Accompanying the house was an orchard of between 200-500 trees. Today we are working to restore not only the house, but the orchard and ALL the land. Our hope is to keep this land safe from urban expansion, and provide food for future generations.
Saturday April 26th is the next tree planting! Come plant a tree, and make your mark on the orchard.
